The Library holdings are organized according to the following main structure:

Book section

The books are arranged according to the Detailed LL.M. Programme Structure with the main categories including: Introductory Courses, International Law of the Sea, International Marine Environmental Law, Shipping Law, Maritime Legislation, Dispute Resolution.


Law Reports section

The Library holds an extensive collection of internationally accepted Law Reports.




Periodicals section

There are two types of periodicals available at IMLI Library - legal bulletins and magazines. Although some are discontinued, 22 titles are Active Periodicals at the present date.



Research and internet access facilities

Since 1st September 2004, the Institute and its Library joined the Maltese research and educational network - "RicerkaNet" and through it, the GEANT pan-European network. Another research facility provided is the access to the internet version of different periodicals to which the Institute subscribes, such as: Lloyd's Law Reports and Lloyd's Maritime Law Newsletter, Fairplay, UN Treaty Collection, IMO Documents.
